Horn Roots works primarily with immigrant, refugee, and low-income entrepreneurs in Minneapolis, especially Black, African, and East African small business owners. We focus on entrepreneurs facing systemic barriers to business ownership, including language barriers, limited access to capital, and lack of access to traditional business support systems.
We have helped entrepreneurs start and register businesses, meet licensing requirements, apply for funding, and build more stable and growth-ready operations.
We operate in Minneapolis and nearby areas, delivering support directly in corridors with the highest concentration of immigrant-owned businesses.
Our approach puts the entrepreneur first at every stage, with support that actually follows through.
